About Me

Background

Following my own therapeutic journey, I was inspired to pursue my training as a counsellor and psychotherapist with the hope of facilitating the growth of my clients as they navigate life’s challenges.

Modality and Ethos

I am an integrative therapist with a strong person-centred foundation. I draw from many theoretical models to best suit the needs of the individual client e.g. CBT and psychodynamics. My training in Trauma Informed Psychotherapy lends itself to a range of client presentations.

I place an emphasis on forming strong therapeutic relationships with my clients through non-judgement and empathy. I believe a collaborative approach empowers my clients and resources them to better deal with their issues post-counselling.

Experience

I have worked with a range of presentations including anxiety, depression, work-related stress, bereavement and loss, family estrangement, relationship issues, trauma, self-harm, abuse, low self-esteem and body image issues.

Professional Qualifications and Training

I am a fully qualified, insured, Garda-vetted, accredited member of Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

I hold a First Class Honours degree, BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Middlesex University as well as a Professional Diploma in Trauma Informed Psychotherapy and a Professional Certificate in Couples Counselling.

I am committed to life-long learning in my field and have completed complementary training in the following areas:
